THE KEY FOB STORY
-
I am so done with NISSAN USA.
I purchased (2011) NISSAN ROGUE brand new ROGUE@ different New Hampshire Dealership & as my car has aged it seems the NISSAN DEALERSHIPS overall have grown worse & worse & worse. NISSAN WANTS me to buy a NEW ROGUE or USED, which is 100 % out of my budget. Despite all their Marketing Tools, Brochures, etc. I barely survive on Social Security!
2ndly, the way I was treated @ this Dealership a few days ago was abominable!! I usually purchased (2) NEW – KEY FOB BATTERIES every December for my Rogue ever since I bought this car. I purchased (1) Battery in January 2024 @ my Mechanic & they installed NEW disc battery. 2nd KEY FOB BATTERY was PURCHASED on (4/2024) @ SOMERSWORTH NISSAN FROM THEIR PARTS DEPARTMENT. A young man (04/2024) employee installed the new disc battery for $6.50 usd. This new disc battery functioned for about (1.5) months & then began to fade away. I KEPT MY DATED PARTS DEPARTMENT RECEIPT!!! Then, this new (04/2024) Disc Battery began to fade out & stopped working totally. I firmly believe the (04/2024) employee just gave me back my KEY FOB with the old disc battery & then Charged me back the $6.50 for my own battery! When I returned to REPLACE THE (04/2024) DISC BATTERY I WAS TOLD TO PAY AGAIN. The (female) PARTS MANAGER CAME OUT OF HER OFFICE TO CHASTISE ME, “for dropping my key fob into water! You dropped this into water, I KNOW that you did!” I then asked the PARTS MANAGER to hold up the key fob so that the water could drain out of the key fob. Of course there was NO WATER INSIDE THE KEY FOB! There has never been any water inside either of my (2) Key Fobs @ over $400.00 per key fob, these things are just too precious to destroy! So, we continued to argue back & forth over ($6.50) disc battery with an (04/2024) original receipt in my hand. The PARTS MANAGER then began chastising me over corrosion on the disc battery – I bought this disc battery NEW in (04/2024) from this dealership, if the battery was already corroded then why? Did the Nissan EMPLOYEE sell it to me as a New Battery in (04/ 2024)? She & I went back forth (again) over & over & over about water inside the Key Fob & corrosion on the battery. So, I want to ask the Nissan Somersworth Dealership Owner (1) question? How can the Parts Manager be soo very certain that I dropped my $400.00 Key Fob into water ever, since the PARTS MANAGER does not drive my (2011) Nissan Rogue, nor does she live near or with me, nor know me, nor was she even there when I purchased the (04/2024) Disc Battery from her Parts Department? How is she SO CERTAIN that my precious Nissan Rogue Key Fob has ever seen even (1) drop of water? Well, Sir : SHE WAS ADAMANT that the Key Fob had been immersed in water. Good thing I am NOT a criminal – your Parts Manager is judge, jury & Executioner!
